Why It Is Impossible For Gamergate To Lose
Let’s hypothesize, worst case scenario for gamergate: video games get turned into special snowflake walking sims, 4chan turns into the new somethingawful where mods do it for free. All of the games “journalists” “win” the “culture war” against “gamers” who are permanently shamed as white cishet manchildren. The world turns against gamers and video games. The big AAA titles are neutered to the point of unplayability, pandering to the lowest common denominator of special snowflakes/genderderps/transtrenders/trannies/SJWs/feminists/progressives/liberals/professional victims/gawker/jezebel/cracked/xojane; for short we’ll just call these combined groups “the left.” In essence, the left becomes the establishment.
What happens next? Well, “the left” makes their various lefty games that champion the promotion of causes and activism over actual gameplay or fun, games become about picking non-fair trade coffee for 400 hours and you win by dying of old age or an “easily treatable disease.”
Those games bomb because no one wants to play them. People mock the games. The left attempts to stop this with further cries of “white privilege fat gamer males” and so on, writing articles with the media they control to demonize gamers who don’t want to play their morality trip games.
The left’s attempts to shame and silence their opposition only further builds up a sort of punk rock rebellion against the leftist establishment. This punk games underground movement will grow massive as the left further attempts to silence and censor dissent. Eventually, the punk games will start developing their own games, and they’ll find ways to sell them. They’ll start selling huge. Then, as always throughout history, everyone will follow the money and begin pandering to this new games movement. There will always be enough people to keep the left’s video games going, but they’ll realize they’re losing a massive piece of the video games market.
On top of all of this? While the left is attempting to demonize the average gamer for being “sweaty loser fat dork men in they mama’s basement” the left themselves will get caught in corruption after corruption. They’ll get caught embezzling money, robbing each other, fucking each other, ripping each other off. The left’s biggest proponents, the loudest feminist, the most “tolerant” game dev, will get caught fucking a child, stealing from their company, faking death threats, filing false police reports, throwing their iPhones at assistants, fleeing the country, joining up with ISIS, and so on. These will explode in a big public fashion because everyone will delight in the historical irony of “gawking at the gawkers.” The embarrassment will sent the left into a shame spiral of white knighting and damage control, the scandal will fade, and then eventually another will pop right up. Each scandal brutally destructs the left’s credibility, causing further people to flee to the opposition.
The right wing will represent itself strongly as “being against this stupid shit” which will cause people to ally themselves with the right, although ideally the center or apolitical or apathist or skeptic movements will stand out even stronger as being a true opposition to “all of the stupid shit from any source.”
So even if the left “wins” here, the only natural result is that they will eventually destroy themselves. Victory will defeat them (4u).
Not that any of that will happen anyway because they’re not going to win this, their reputation is permanently damaged, and already more and more people have had enough of their stupid ass bullshit.
