We’re literally watching boring people interact.
The one positive I can give to this webcomic is that it seems somewhat realistic. But only because of how bland and dull hipster/indie music types are.
They have overly forced sitcommy quips to each other instead of talking to each other, because they think that you can’t interact with another person without trying to show that you can be “witty.” But it’s the lowest common denominator form of wit you will ever see.
Just look at that final panel. Read it over and over. Soak in that pedestrian dialogue. You can tell jefph isn’t even trying anymore. He has no idea what the next comic is going to be about, and not the one after that, and not after that. He has no plans. This comic has over 2,000 pages and jeph ran out of things to do years ago.
Also kinda unintentionally funny: The scrotumless “man” in this scene is, OF COURSE, having a nice conversation with a girl he broke up with, because they’re still friends.
